An advisory class was designed to address the psycho-affective, social-emotional and intellectual concerns of the young men at the Eagle Academy.
One of the many ESI programs that support the continued achievement of Black and Latino young men is the Young Men’s Gatherings, open to all 9th and 10th grade students who are involved in the Expanded Success Initiative, as well as accompanying staff. These gatherings involve film screenings, discussions, live performances, speakers, interactive workshops, mentoring, and more. The goal of the Young Men’s Gatherings is to allow students to network and learn from each other and build community with students from other ESI schools.
